our pillars
our commitment
We believe hair is everything. It’s a canvas for confidence. It’s a conduit for art. It fuels our identity. Supporting organizations from professional stylists and beyond with a shared vision is the mission of our The Future Now Initiative. We’re committed to celebrating hair health + happiness, pioneering scientific innovation, and advocating for brighter futures.
our vision
The Future Now Initiative is our way of investing back into the communities we care about. We are partnering with organizations that embody K18’s commitment to innovation and radical care: Project Q, Professional Beauty Association, Genspace, Styles 4 Kidz, and Black Voters Matter.

Genspace
Genspace is the world’s first community biology lab — founded in 2009 as a place where people of all backgrounds and identities can learn, create, and grow with the life sciences. They offer education, outreach, and a membership program for lab use. Their mission is to foster a safe and inclusive community where all people – including those from non-traditional and underrepresented backgrounds – can experientially learn, boldly create, and meaningfully grow with the life sciences.

Styles 4 Kidz
Styles 4 Kidz is supporting multiracial, transracial adoptive, and foster families that lack the know-how to care for their kids' textured hair. Through workshops and training, families are equipped with the tools and resources to bolster confidence, starting at home. We’re empowering our Black and Brown communities alongside Styles 4 Kidz.
