how to use AirWash™ on curly + coily hair
Ready to give it a go? Before applying AirWash™, Young suggests parting your hair into four or six sections to get the best application.
“We generally recommend applying the product four to six inches from the scalp, but if you have more curly + coily hair, try to apply the dry shampoo four inches away so that you can concentrate that application to your scalp and so that you don't get any overspray.”
Then massage the product into your scalp, as it makes a huge difference in the results, she adds.
what if you’re sporting a protective style?
Whether you’re wearing braids, a wig, or sew-in, AirWash™ is perfect for refreshing your hair.
“You can use it on your foundational braid underneath a sew-in or your wig,” Young says.
As she mentioned earlier, if you have curly + coily hair (even if styled) make sure to spray it four inches away from your scalp, then massage in or brush so it can work its magic.

If your hair has been heat styled, Young suggests putting it into a couple of sections and “starting with one spray of AirWash™ on each part and see if that works for you before applying another spray.”
