Orgullo. Cada. Maldito. Día.

A huge champion of this amazing mission to promote equal access to expression for the LGBTQIA+ community are the folx at PROJECTQ, a non-profit that provides gender-affirming hair transformations and classes to LGBTQIA+ folx with housing insecurities. 

Today is actually our one-year anniversary of supporting their cause—something so near and dear to our hearts.  To keep this pride party going well beyond this month and continue to support, we are pledging an ongoing monthly donation for the rest of the year, up to 20k.

Last year we were blown away by the amazing work of ProjectQ. Here’s a recap of all the things they do to support the LGBTQIA+ community + champion self-expression.

With the belief that hair and self-empowerment are forms of social justice, they work to provide free gender-affirming haircuts, color, and wigs to LGBTQIA+ folx dealing with housing insecurities and homelessness. They also offer free self-empowering workshops, food and hygiene boxes, and career development to empower low income LGBTQIA+ youth.

As we approach the end of Pride month, let us not forget who paved this path. This is for those that stood on the front lines at Stonewall. All the Queer people that cared for their community during the AIDS crisis. And every boundary pusher who risks their lives to express themselves every single day. Thanks for teaching us all how to be bold, loud, and PROUD.
